Molecular Biosciences is an umbrella group of five graduate programs in the School of Arts and Sciences life sciences departments and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) in the School of Graduate Studies at Rutgers University– New Brunswick. Students are free to carry out their PhD research with any faculty member in any of the five associated programs at Rutgers. Research opportunities in more than 200 laboratories and competitive stipends are available. This program is for students interested in pursuing a PhD in the molecular biosciences, including molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, structural biology, developmental biology, and genetics. Students should apply to directly Program in Molecular Biosciences for admission. All of the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry faculty are members in the Molecular Bioscience Program.
