Congratulations to the 37 MBB majors who graduated in May 2018! The average final GPA of the MBB majors was 3.756 and 31 MBB students received General Honors (9 cum laude, 8 magna cum laude, and 14 summa cum laude). All of the MBB graduates performed independent research projects in laboratories on campus and five of these students have already published their work in scientific research papers. 24 of the MBB graduates conducted honors research projects and 17 were awarded Highest and 7 awarded High MBB Departmental Honors. 2018 MBB graduates are going on to pursue Ph.D. degrees at Univ. of Illinois, Univ. of Wisconsin, Univ. of California-San Diego, Case Western Univ. and NYU; or MD/PhD degrees at NYU and Rockefeller; MD degrees at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and SUNY Stony Brook; or as researchers at NIH Infectious Disease Institute, BioNanoTech, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, and Cancer Institute of NJ; or consulting at ZS Associates or for a Washington DC Healthcare lobying firm in DC, or teaching in AmeriCorps or on a Fullbright fellowship.
