Summary:
GEHC Fast Trak Interns work on a variety of assignments with responsibilities and hands-on involvement in areas such as DNA and protein purification, GEHC media bench marking studies, database development and management, and new equipment testing. Additionally, exposure to key management personnel is integrated into the project-oriented assignments where a manager and mentor are assigned for support.

Position Description:
Assignments in GEHC Fast Trak Application Laboratories may include using chromatography and filtration techniques, working with AKTA design systems, trouble-shooting hardware/software, and designing/testing new purification and filtration application/features.


Basic Qualifications:
3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better
Able to work for a minimum of 12 weeks in the Summer term
Must be willing to work at our Piscataway, NJ site
Must be pursuing a degree in Life Sciences or biomedical field
Must have Unrestricted Authorization to work in the US (please see below for details)

Desired Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those pursuing a degree in Biomedical or Life Science fields, and:
High self-confidence
Solid interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
